Niel Speetjens is an internationally recognized automotive educator, freelance speaker, and subject-matter expert with nearly three decades of experience in transmission systems, electric vehicles, ADAS, suspension, electromechanical steering, and advanced diagnostics. He has spent more than 17 years as a professional automatic transmission instructor, delivering large-scale technical training for a Tier 1 automotive supplier and supporting OEM, government, and industry programs worldwide. His technical background includes ZF 6HP and 8HP transmissions, Volkswagen and Audi DSG, Porsche PDK, ZF mechatronics, and high-voltage EV systems. Niel is a former shop owner with hands-on experience ranging from performance transmission builds to research and development support for a German transmission manufacturer. He holds IMI Level 3 and Level 4 EV certifications and is a certified High Voltage Technology Trainer, known for delivering technically accurate content with clear, engaging instruction.
